LEARNING SUPPORT COORDINATOR/TEACHER

St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for over 475 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. This is a wonderful opportunity for a committed and passionate Teacher to positively influence the lives of students and contribute to our school community at St Helena’s Catholic Primary School.

Selection Criteria:

Applications are invited from educators who can demonstrate:

  • Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
  • Excellent pedagogical skills with a flexible, collaborative and student-centred approach, promoting student wellbeing and pastoral care.
  • Understanding of diverse learning needs including specific learning disorders (SLD) and English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D), implementation of intervention/support processes and the tracking/monitoring progress/growth of students.
  • The ability to use assessment and continuous monitoring methods and tools to adjust the teaching practices to cater for the needs of all students.
  • A high level of expertise in integrating digital technologies to enrich teaching and learning experiences.
  • Competency in the collection and analysis/interpretation of individual, class and whole school literacy and numeracy data.
  • Being an exemplary, enthusiastic educator and leader who works collaboratively with colleagues to plan, implement, model, monitor and evaluate teaching and learning programs to (enhance teacher capacity and) improve literacy and numeracy outcomes for students across the primary year levels.
  • Experience in accessing and collaborating with external consultants and specialist personnel.
  • An ability to lead by taking on roles within the school and being involved in extra-curricular activities.
  • Possess the skills to contribute to and promote a strong staff culture and work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and Parish in promoting a nurturing Catholic school community.
 
Qualifications Required:
  • Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.
  • Relevant 4 Year Tertiary Qualifications.
